Winter Challenge Monday League Ted Burton Triples George Durno Doubles Skills Competition Summer Singles Autumn Doubles Town & District Doubles
Held on the 3rd or 4th Saturday of March, commences with a series of leagues,
and continues with knockout rounds among the qualifiers.
This competition was run over nine months, each member playing all the others.
Starting on the second Monday in March and played on every second Monday
of each month until November.
This competition, in honour of our founder member Ted Burton, is played on the
last Monday of April.
Teams are drawn from the hat and the each team plays all the others.

This competition was played on the 3rd Monday in June, where each member would
try to out-point the others, with a demonstration of their shooting
and pointing skills.

The Ladies played for the Mary Steed Rose Bowl and the Men for the
Stan Burrows
Memorial Plate.
From 2011 this event becomes a joint
competition where everyone plays for
the Stan Burrows Memorial Plate

with a time limit for each game.
Epping Town Council versus Epping Forest District Council.
In 1991 Epping Town Council beat Epping Forest District Council in the first
invitation Doubles Match played along with our Winter Challenge competition.
The winning team of Town Councillor Tom Clare, Mayor Elect of Epping Town and
Colin Andrews, each won a bottle of Australian sparkling wine.
In 1992 the Epping Town & District Doubles was played for a new trophy and have
played for this trophy ever since. The match is now played during our Summer
Singles competition held in August.
